School Boundary Planning Information

My name is Shawn Brann, and I'm representing Linton Crest and Piney Branch Elementary School (PBES) on the "Devlin Road" Elementary School boundary planning committee over the next couple months. The boundary planning committee meetings for the new school started last night. This new school will open in September 2015. The PWCS Planning Office has created one preliminary plan that was presented to us last night for discussion.
It moves the Independence community out of PBES and into the new school; it moves Broad Run Oaks, Saranac, and part of "Rocky Run" (the Planning Office staff was a little unclear on this one) into PBES. This first plan sends all proposed "Stone Haven" students - if the development happens - to the new "Devlin Road" school.
Later today, this first plan and a lot of other information should be posted on the planning website. There will likely be one or two (or more) maps created before the first community-wide meeting on Monday, November 24 at 7 pm at Piney Branch. I urge all PBES/Linton Crest parents or guardians to attend the meeting if your schedule permits. If you have any questions, please ask.
