Prince William County Zoning
Posted on Feb 8th, 2017
Attention Homeowners:
Some of you may already be aware that the Zoning inspector has been issuing violations in our neighborhood. These inspections were not requested by the HOA but nevertheless they are not to be taken lightly. Not having the proper Zoning permits on your property is a CRIMINAL OFFENSE.
Many homeowners believe that if you get the Covenants Committee’s approval then you are good. This is not true! It is every homeowner’s responsibility to get proper permits and/or approvals from Prince William County. If you have a fence, shed, patio, retaining wall, pools, home additions, decks, gazebos etc. on your property then these items need to be approved and permitted by Prince William County Zoning. If you would like to know what is permitted on your property please call PWC Zoning Administration Office 703-792-7615.
If you are a homeowner looking to add improvements to your property then you may want to make sure that PWC Zoning approves your plans as it is very costly to have to move/remove items for not following their rules.
