Important Service Notice from Patriot Disposal Service
Last year we began rolling out the use of our new ASL (Automatic Side Loader) trucks in some communities that we service. The ASL truck has only a single driver who controls a mechanical arm to pick up toter cans, as opposed to a two or three-man crew on standard rear load trucks.
The utilization of an ASL results in less noise than standard rear load trucks, reduces the time required to collect trash and recycling, and increases efficiency. Our ASL drivers are instructed not to leave the cab of the truck to collect items outside of the toters.
Starting July 1, 2020, we will begin to utilize an ASL for trash and recycling and enforce this rule of only picking up trash or recycling inside the toters in your community. Any trash or recycling outside of the containers will not be picked up. To ensure that we are able operate at maximum efficiency, we need your help to reach out to homeowners and let them know:
• All trash and recycling pickup must be inside their toters - trash outside will not be collected.
• All toters must be placed at the curb, unobstructed, with the handle facing the house.
• “Unobstructed” means that the toter must be 3 feet from all other toters, cars or mailboxes.
Large bulk items will need to be called in for pickup and may incur a fee for pickup. Please have the resident call the main number at 703-257-7100 to schedule a pickup day. Please do not leave them out on a trash day unless instructed to do so.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to call your account manager or customer service.
Thank you and have a great day!
Best,
Patriot Disposal
